Voters Doubt They Have an Impact on Politicians

Canadians who are knowledgeable about their country are significantly more likely to vote and feel trusting of public institutions, according to a study of knowledge and empowerment by the Association of Canadian Studies. But knowing how the political system works doesn't translate into a strong belief among the country's best-informed citizens that they have a big influence on what the government does.
