Thought Police Prosecute Marriage Commissioner

A Saskatchewan marriage commissioner told a human rights tribunal yesterday that he does not oppose a same sex couple's right to marriage, but to perform the ceremony himself would contradict his own beliefs. "I don't have a problem with them getting married, but I can't perform the service," said Orville Nichols during testimony before the Saskatchewan Human Rights Tribunal.
