Boys Viewing Porn at Frightening Levels

More than one-third of 13-year-old Alberta boys view Internet porn "too many times to count," and parents have only the vaguest notion about it, a groundbreaking study suggests. "If you're 13 and you can't put a number on the times [you've used porn], that's a little frightening," University of Alberta researcher Sonya Thompson said yesterday.

Dallaire Pleads for Action on Darfur

Retired Canadian general Romeo Dallaire blasted the U.S. and Canada on Monday for failing to rally the world and provide the political will to save people in Darfur. The reason so many people have been allowed to die in Sudan already, Dallaire told a Senate subcommittee, is simple. "There's no self-interest. Who cares about Darfurians? They're sub-Saharan Africans. They're like Rwandans."
