Politicians Letting Courts Set the Agendas

Few things are more threatening to a politician's future than plain speaking. Many politicians have rightly become fearful of taking a stand against any issue -- such as same-sex marriage - that is so warmly promoted in the media, academic and legal establishments. Rather than endure the sort of criticism such opposition would provoke, the favoured modus operandi today is to let the unelected courts set the agenda by arbitrarily changing our laws.
