'National Shopping List' Based on Christian and Family Values

The Michigan-based American Decency Association (ADA) has developed a "National Shopping List" of businesses that it says are Christian-based or family-friendly in their practices. At present, the list is short; but the cultural watchdog group says it's just providing a place to start for people all over the U.S., who should go on to make their own lists concerning businesses in their own communities.

Dallaire Pleads for Action on Darfur

Retired Canadian general Romeo Dallaire blasted the U.S. and Canada on Monday for failing to rally the world and provide the political will to save people in Darfur. The reason so many people have been allowed to die in Sudan already, Dallaire told a Senate subcommittee, is simple. "There's no self-interest. Who cares about Darfurians? They're sub-Saharan Africans. They're like Rwandans."
