Harper Should Hold China's Feet to the Fire on Human Rights

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has spoken bluntly and often about human rights abuses in China. He has accused that country of spying on Canada to steal industrial secrets. He went to bat for a dual citizen imprisoned in China's gulag on trumped-up charges ... He added, in case Beijing had not been paying attention, that he was not ready to "sell out to the almighty dollar" ... We should keep Beijing's feet to the fire on human rights, and we should also keep pursuing trade deals that benefit both countries.
