Tots Ordered Not to Sing About Jesus

A toddlers' group in Wood Green was warned it must drop its Christian title and stop singing songs about Jesus - or face having its funding axed by Haringey Council. Council officers protested when they were advised the group was to change its name to The Polish and Eastern European Christian Family Centre - and, following further investigation, organisers were told to stop singing a song about loving Jesus.

Dallaire Pleads for Action on Darfur

Retired Canadian general Romeo Dallaire blasted the U.S. and Canada on Monday for failing to rally the world and provide the political will to save people in Darfur. The reason so many people have been allowed to die in Sudan already, Dallaire told a Senate subcommittee, is simple. "There's no self-interest. Who cares about Darfurians? They're sub-Saharan Africans. They're like Rwandans."
