State Senate Bans Pastor

New Jersey's Senate is banning a pastor who spoke out against same-sex marriage in the invocation that starts the Senate session. The Reverend Vincent Fields made the remarks on the same day that a Senate committee approved a bill that would allow gay couples to have civil unions. Fields prayed -- in his words -- "We curse the spirit that would come to bring about same-sex marriage. We ask you to just look over this place today, cause them to be shaken in their very heart in uprightness."
