Dion Will Hand-Pick Candidates 'If That's What It Takes'

New Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion says he will hand-pick women to run in chosen ridings across Canada if that's what it takes to make good on his vow to have at least 103 female Liberal candidates in the next election. In an interview with the Toronto Star, Dion said he is sticking by his leadership campaign promise to have 33 per cent women candidates in the next election, which could come early in the new year.
