Virtues of Microchips Hawked By VISA

New microchip-embedded credit cards with personal identification numbers will go a long way towards reducing credit card fraud, says the head of security with Visa Canada. "When we go to chip and PIN, when you lose your card or if your card is stolen, unless you write your PIN number on the back of it, that card is going to be useless to anybody that has it in their possession," Gord Jamieson said in an interview Monday. "It’s virtually impossible to break or copy these cards," he said after giving a seminar on credit card fraud to Halifax Shopping Centre retailers.
